Directors

We have a passion for sharing our experience and knowledge! We seek to enrich the lives of our students through dancing and performing! We have over fifteen years teaching experience throughout the United States and Europe. We aim to combine our passion for dance and wellness to encourage healthy training and performance practices in our students. We are applying a combination of ballet methods we have learned throughout our training and professional dancing career which includes Vaganova Method, Cecchetti, Balanchine, and American Style.     

Darli Iakovleva

 Darli began her training with her mother Mrs. Ilona in Smithfield, Va. at European Dance Studio. Ms. Iakovleva graduated from University of North Carolina School of the Arts high school with a degree in Ballet in 2001, and earned her Bachelors for the Arts, majoring in 'Dance and Choreography', from Tallinn University, Tallinn, Estonia in 2006. She also has studied at Governors School for the Arts in Norfolk, Va., 1998-2000, Washington School of Ballet 2001-02, Washington, D.C., and Tallinn Ballet School, Tallinn, Estonia 2002-04.

 Darli has danced professionally for such companies as New York Theatre Ballet, NY,NY, 2006-7, Oklahoma City Ballet 2008-12, Ballet Theatre of Maryland as a soloist dancer 2012-13, Connecticut Ballet as a soloist dancer2013-14, Columbia City Ballet 2014-15, and Theatre Vanemuine Ballet 2004-06 and returned joining the company again in 2015-2021 in Tartu , Estonia. Darli has danced soloist and principle roles in ballets such as  Light Rain by Gerald Arpino, Nutcracker, Coppelia, Fire Bird, Cinderella, Paquita, Les Sylphides, Sleeping Beauty, Wizard of Oz, Giselle,  corps de ballet in Dracula, Sleepy Hallow, works by Agnes Demille, Thomas Edur, Gorgio Madia, etc....Also has performed in galas in principle role in Romeo and Juliet and La Corsaire. Darli has also danced in various musical theatre productions as well as contemporary works by various well known choreographers.   Ms. Iakovleva enjoys teaching and has over fifteen years of teaching experience throughout the United States and also in Europe.

Anton Iakovlev

Anton graduated from the Vaganova Ballet Academy in St. Petersburg (1992-2000) in the class of Boris Bregvadze and earned a Bachelors for the Arts.

He has danced professionally for the St. Petersburg Ballet in St. Petersburg, New York Theatre Ballet NY,NY, Oklahoma City Ballet, Oklahoma City, OK., as a principle dancer for Ballet Theatre of Maryland, Annapolis, MD., as a soloist dancer for Connecticut Ballet, Stanford, CT., Columbia City Ballet, Columbia SC., and Theatre Vanemuine in Tartu, Estonia. Anton has danced principle and soloist roles in many ballets including Giselle, Don Quixote, Coppelia, La Corsaire, Les Sylphides, Paquita, Sleeping Beauty, Nutcracker, Cinderella, Dracula, Sleepy Hallow, Wizard of Oz, Romeo and Juliet, Fire Bird, Balanchine's Western Symphony corps de ballet, Light Rain by Gerald Arpino, works by Agnes DeMille, Thomas Edur, Gorgio Madia, etc... and has also danced in various musical theatre productions, and contemporary works by various well known choreographers.  Anton  enjoys teaching and has over fifteen years of experience teaching throughout the United States.
